It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Willie Cook (Ashford, Alabama), who passed away on February 26, 2020, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Hosie Miller and Hurley Blackmon; her husband Shellie Cook; her granddaughter Rosalyn McCarter-Cole; and her siblings, Jennie Lee Mayes, Hosie, Jr. and Ivy Earl Miller.
She is survived by: her daughter JoAnn McLoyd; her daughter-in-law Sarah McCarter; her grandchildren, Angela Brown (Cedric), Kisha Mitchell (Cleon), April McCarter, Tonyetta Vickers (Eric), LaRhonda Barber (Vincent) and Shane Smith (April); her great grandchildren, Kennedy, I, JaKelia, Veneshia, Daisha, Dezionna, Zion, Damian, Kendarrius, D'Ryan, Jalen, Eric, Jr., Isaiah and D'Ryus; and her sisters, Betty Foster and Carrie Robinson. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
