He is survived by: his wife Nancy Joyce Sterling; his children, Richard Sterling (Cathy), Dwight Sterling (Amy), Kayla Hand (Billy) and Valerie Sterling; his siblings, Bobby Joe Sterling (Debbie) and Betty Dudley (Justin); and his close friend Jimmy Taylor. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
