She was predeceased by: her parents, John Spann and Gertrude Spann; her husband Calvin Light; her son James Calvin Light, Jr.; and her siblings, Douglas Spann, Billy Ray Spann, Lavon Spann, Kinney Spann, Don Spann, Arvella Derrick, Faye Casey and Rosemary Spann.
She is survived by: her daughters, Annette Barnard and Pam Hornsby (Ben); her son-in-law Jim Barnard; her grandchildren, Michelle Holland (Brian), Brett Barnard, Shane Barnard (Ashley) and Leigh-Anna Garrison (Alex); and her siblings, J. A. Spann (Judy) and Sue Henderson. She is also survived by 15 great grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gilliam Springs Baptist Church or Huntsville Hospital Family Care Hospice.
