He is survived by: his daughter Heather Hinds Pierce (Ben); his granddaughter Maddie Jean Pierce; his sister-in-law Jo Smith Martin; and his nieces and nephews, Deborah Hinds, Jennifer Shuler, Carroll Joe Hinds and Bradley Martin.
