He was predeceased by: his siblings, Agnes Tarpley, Opal Black and James Smith. He is survived by: his wife Jane Barclift; his children, J. G. King (Bart) and Doc Smith (Jennifer); and his grandchildren, Ansley Yarbrough (Hunter), Addason King, Conner and Elizabeth Smith.
