She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Deward Simpson and Mamar Delaner Williams Simpson; her husband Samuel F. Brown; her daughters, Shirley Faye Cooley, Beatrice F. Kelley and Virginia Ann McCrea; and her siblings, Hubert Simpson, Gerald Simpson, Robert Simpson, Nina McCain and Alice Watkins.
She is survived by: her daughter Sarah Elaine Whitehorn; and her siblings, Lonnie Simpson and Joyce Renae Simpson. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 26 great-great grandchildren.
