It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Frances Godfrey of Alexander City, Alabama, who passed away on August 19, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her former husband W. J. Godfrey; her husband Jack Rutland; her parents, Luther Franklin Storey and Alvie Storey; her brothers, Jesse R. Storey and Preston Storey; and her nephew Johnnie Storey.
She is survived by: her children, Wesley Joel Godfrey and Emily Dawn Foster (Travis) of Ashland, AL.; her grandchildren, Ashley Price (Eric), Wesley M Godfrey and Mitch Foster (Brianna); her great grandchildren, Kensley Godfrey, Aidan Foster and Mattie Claire Price; and her nieces, Diane Brown Wade and Rita Faye Roberts (Lane). She is also survived by her family and friends.
