With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy Jean Patterson of Alexander City, Alabama, born in Clay, Alabama, who passed away on July 11, 2023 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Thelman Mattox and Elendor Laverne Jones Mattox; her husband Horace E Patterson Sr.; and her siblings, James Mattox, Edward Mattox, Billy Mattox, Sara Mask, Louneal Ingram and Margie Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Lesia Delynn Freeman (Alton) of Alexander City and Horace "Pat" E. Patterson Jr. (Lycrecia) of Anniston; and her siblings, Charles Mattox (Brenda), Florence James, Jessie Miller (Charles) and Stella Willis. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
