He was predeceased by: his father John N. Carrell, Sr.; his stepfather John Norris; and his nephew Chet Downey. He is survived by: his wife Joanna; his children, Denise Tidwell (Blake) and Austin; his mother Alene Norris; and his siblings, John (Glenda), Roy, George, David (Pam) and Jackie Hess. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
