With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert Sheldon (Fairbanks, Alaska), who passed away on November 12, 2018 at the age of 14. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his uncle William W. Sheldon; his grandmother Gertrude A. Sheldon; and his great-grandparents, Tommie Sheldon, Jr., William and Lyla Grant.
He is survived by: his parent Ryan M. Grant; his cousins, Gabriel Morris and Joshua Gooden; his parent Millie Sheldon; his spouse Richard Teel of Kiana; his siblings, Brandon Sheldon, Erik Sheldon and Andrea Teel; his uncle Tommie Sheldon; his grandfathers, Bill Kaiana and Mike Grant of Salcha; his uncles, Stephan Ivanoff, Donald Sheldon, Donald Fancher, John Sheldon, Nellie Sheldon, Ben Sheldon and Pina Sheldon; his great-grandparent Ella S. Sheldon; and his friends, Church, Kiana Sno and Shop.
The family would like to thank the first responders; Kotzebue Friends Church for making the coffin and lining; Kiana Sno-go Shop for making the cross and cover; those who dropped off wood to keep the shop warm; NAC, NANA, Maniilaq Association, Northwest Arctic Borough, KIC, Jansen's Evergreen Memorial Services, Kiana Cookhouse Volunteers, OPT-In Kiana, family and friends for the cash donations and fundraising.
