He was predeceased by: his wife Norma Kolshus of International Falls, Minnesota.; his parents, Joseph and Morene; his siblings, Edward Dobson, Maurice Dobson, Gertrude Snyder and Ruth Nelson; and his close friend Emma Robinson.
He is survived by: his children, Shala Dobson (Jim), Steve Dobson (Judy), Kristy Laird (Emmett) and Alane Wightman (Dave); and his grandchildren, Michelle Ayers, Dyann Hardy, Dayna Laird, Scott Dobson, Kristin Campbell, Lauren Hazelton, Scott Wightman and Alyson Drost. He is also survived by 17 great grandchildren.
