He was predeceased by: his wife Violet; his parents, Emmeline Schultze and Fred Schultze; and his sibling Merv Shultze. He is survived by: his children, Stephanie, Lindsay (Greymouth), Robyn, John (Australia), Raylene and Dave (Australia); his brothers, Fred and Ray Schultze (Amberley); and his niece Brenda Hill.
A funeral service was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Our Rangiora Chapel (92 Kippenberger Avenue, Rangiora 7400, New Zealand). A burial was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Balcairn Cemetery (303 Leithfield Road, Leithfield 7481, New Zealand).
