He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children-in-law, Graeme Lemóy, Jackie Lemóy, Lynley Lemóy and Romek Lemóy (Dunedin); and his siblings-in-law, Norman, Mary, Alan and Coleman.

In lieu of flowers donations in Russell's memory to the First Presbyterian Church new organ fund would be appreciated.
