He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Fern; his children, Penny, Tim, Pippa and Matt; his children-in-law, Ivan, Robyn and Matthew; his grandchildren, Max, Hugo, Rosa Jones, Millie, Ed Macalister, Jack, Sophia Anderson, Kathryn and Isobel Anderson; and his siblings, Sally (Stewart Cron), Diana (Pat Harrow), Miriam (Terry Hughes), Lin (Christine McIntosh) and Rob McIntosh.
