He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr Charles Halstead and Paddy Halstead of Timaru; and his siblings, Richard Halstead and Wendy Low. He is survived by: his spouse Noeline; his children, Gabrielle, Hamish Nicholson (Wellington), Jonnie and Jacque Halstead; his grandchildren, Rocco, Chevy, Anise Halstead, Jimmy and Alice Nicholson; and his brother-in-law Graeme Low.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Our Westpark Chapel (467 Wairakei Road, Burnside, Christchurch 8053, New Zealand).
