He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Karl, Vanessa, Julie and Andrew; his parents, Andrew and Iris; his siblings, Linda, Barry, Ian and Yvonne; his siblings' children, Brett, Gail, Hayden, Sami and Trey; his aunt Irene Paterson; his cousins, Jean, Bill, Barbara and Helen Paterson (UK); his sibling-in-law Nita; his siblings' children, Melanie, Paul, Alice and Steven; Tai and Alex.

In memory of his parents in lieu of flowers, if you wish, George's choice of charity was the Cancer Society in George's name.
