He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Deidre; his son Neil; his child-in-law Holle Shanks (Germany); his grandchildren, Anni, Timm, Julia, Emma and Sebastian; his daughter Heather; his son-in-law Robert Becada (Tawa); his grandchildren, Braden (Australia) and Kelsey; his siblings, Ken (Shirley), Colleen (Eric) and Sheryl (Bill); his nieces and nephews, Richard, Christopher, David, Barbara, Janice, Aaron and Penny; and also William Don.
