He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children-in-law, Linda Maunganui, Laurie Maunganui of Papamoa, Doug Maunganui, Lyn Maunganui of Masterton, Janette Maunganui (Poss), Kev Maunganui (Dannevirke), Sandra Maunganui, Maz Maunganui, John Maunganui and Mount Maunganui; and his sibling Margaret Hull.
