He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip Thunderchild and Ada Kwekwetapoa; his siblings, Pat Macdonald, Ivan MacDonald, John George MacDonald, Gordon Thunderchild and Harriet Chocan; and his niece Muriel Thunderchild.
He is survived by: his sister-in-law Georgina Thunderchild; and his nieces and nephews, Corinna, Shirleyann (Fred), Lorrinda (Adam), Gail (Darius), Marvin, Melvin (Tara), Merle, Leon, Lionel (Suzy) and Travis. He is also survived by numerous other nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
