It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Viola Katherine Cardinal of North Battleford, Saskatchewan, who passed away on December 13, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Norbert Weiers and Frances Weiers; her brothers, Albert and Herman Weiers; and her former husband John Cardinal.
She is survived by: her sister Katherine "Kathy" Weiers. She is also survived by her daughter, grandchildren and close friends.
She moved to Edmonton to attend the Edmonton General Hospital School of Nursing, started by the "Sisters of Charity of Montreal", also known as the Grey Nuns.
