She was predeceased by: her husband Walter Thompson; her mother Violet Peterson; her stepfather Otto Peterson; her father Harold Young; and her siblings, Clara Horne and Raymond Young.

She is survived by: her daughters, Teresa Prosko (Dave) and Brenda Mino (Trevor); her grandchildren, Andon, Ty Prosko and Cara Mino; and her brother Murray Young.
