He was predeceased by: his parents, Stan Russell and Helen Russell (Nellie); his brothers-in-law, Ernest Hollingshead and Charlie Peterson; and his niece Melissa Petersen.

He is survived by: his sisters, Donna Hollingshead and Winifred.
