It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ronald Basset of Battleford, Saskatchewan, born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, who passed away on February 13, 2023, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph "Joe" Basset and Verla Basset (Wilke); his wife Karon; his father-in-law Aloysius "Louis" Wolsfeld; his brothers, Paul Basset, James Basset and Joseph Basset; and his brothers-in-law, Blaine Bentley and Brian Timmerman.

He is survived by: his son Rene Joseph (Jody) of Saskatoon, SK; his grandsons, Nathan and Evan; his son Russell Basset (Yvette) of Lloydminster, SK; his grandchildren, Dolan Watt, Morgan and Brittney; his mother-in-law Albina Wolsfeld of Saskatoon, SK; his siblings, Verla Bentley of Viscount, SK, Jocelyn Knihnitski (Gary) of Saskatoon, SK, Mark Basset (Connie) of Peterson, SK, Carol Thiemann (Bruce) of Humboldt, SK and Laura Stahl (Grant) of Regina, SK; and his sisters-in-law, Rhonda Basset of Saskatoon, SK and Linda Basset of Peterson, SK. He is also survived by siblings and numerous nieces and nephews.
