He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Laing and Eileen Laing; his siblings, Karen Vetter and Clifford Laing; his siblings-in-law, Evelyn Moore, Ken Moon, Carl Walden and Verna Laing; and his great grandchild Lyra Roster.

He is survived by: his wife Ann; his children, Barb and John Wettlaufer; his grandchildren, Cara (Clint) and Chad (Robin); his children, Doug and Penny Laing; his grandchildren, Jessica (Autumn), Dani (Malcolm), Conni and Darcy Frankl; his great grandchildren, Stephanie Roster (Darrien), Cody (Hilda) and Josh (Chloe); and his siblings, Gail Laing, Vivian Walden, Allan Laing, Donald Laing and Kellie Mills. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of dad can be made to Battlefords Union Hospital or STARS.
