She was predeceased by: her parents, Philip Maffenbeier and Barbara Maffenbeier; her husband Orest Nekurak; her siblings, Peter Maffenbeier and Pauline of Assiniboia; and her brother-in-law Willie Marcenko of Assiniboia.
She is survived by: her children, Gregory (Bonnie, family: Amanda, Michael, Sarah, Alex), Michele Mathers (Randy, family: Christie, Michael), Warren (Juvy, family: Robby, Larissa), Brian (Kym, family: Ben, Sam) and Leslie Smith (Jim, family: McKayla, McKenzie, Brooke, Kemper); her brothers, Paul Maffenbeier (Charlotte) of Red Deer and Clarence Maffenbeier (Heather) of Assiniboia; and her siblings-in-law, Sharyn of Assiniboia, Maurice Nekurak (Ruth) of Assiniboia and Olive Goodwin of Saskatoon. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
