We are sad to announce that on September 23, 2020, at the age of 71, Warren Gear (Waterloo, Québec), born in Waterloo, Ontario passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his daughter Stéphanie; and his parents, Jean Gear and John Gear. He is survived by: his wife Odile; his children, Philippe (Davina), Maurice (Danelle), Aimée (David) and André (Kristina); his sisters, Marilyn Gear Pilling (Dan) and Marie Gear Cerson (Larry); his niece Sheena (Ihab); and his nephew Merrick Pilling. He is also survived by eight grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Wingham & District Hospital Foundation would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.

“I am truly sorry to hear of Warren's passing. I had the pleasure of being Warren's neighbour and friend while I was living on Marnoch Line, just down the road from his cabin. We spent many an evening having dinner and chatting about life, and Warren's travels through France and other places where he had an impact on the horse world. And man, he could recite poetry!! He introduced me to Beaujelais wine, and I raise a glass to you now Warren. Peace be with you, you will be well remembered! From”
