He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Hayes and Ella (Lawrence). He is survived by: his brother Dr. Herbert Hayes (Gail); his grandson Ryan Sullivan; his wife Lois (Byers); his children, Mona (Bill), Bert (Alison), Lorraine, George (Nikki) and Bonnie (Dean); and his grandchildren, Boyd, Carla, Melissa Sullivan, Jackie Hayes, Natalie Hayes, Tyson Clinton, Meghan Hayes Clinton, Nathan, Shaina Hayes and Taylor McInnis.
