He was predeceased by: his grandmothers, Edith Rackham and Audrey MacKay. He is survived by: his spouse Vickie MacKay (Gallant) of New Glasgow; his children, Nolan, Duncan and Lydia; his parents, Bruce MacKay and Debbie MacKay (Rackham); his sister Krista MacKay; his grandfathers, Robert Rackham and Duncan MacKay (Olga); his parent-in-law Errol Gallant; his brothers-in-law, Colin Gallant (Andrea) and Richie Gallant (Lisa); and also Rose Gallant. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

If so desired, donations in Nathan's memory may be made to an Education Fund at RBC, Hunter River, for his children.
