He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley MacLean and Belle MacLean (Grigg); his siblings, Rev. Elmer MacLean (Glenda), Claude MacLean and Virginia Milligan (Gerald); and his brother-in-law Eric Millar.

He is survived by: his wife Dorothy MacLean (Monkley); his sons, Bruce (Kathryn) and Stuart MacLean (Lynette); his grandchildren, Alexander (Melissa), Matthew, Laken MacLean, Nick and Tyler Howe; his great grandchildren, Charlie Willis MacLean and Deacon Taylor; his siblings, Hester Milligan (Charles), Wanda Millar and Herman MacLean (Pat); and his sister-in-law Esther MacLean.
