He was predeceased by: his wife Cheryl Newcombe (Sherry); his parents, Horace Newcombe and Kathleen Newcombe (Dyment); his parents-in-law, Brendan and Vera Sherry; and his siblings-in-law, Fred Cormier, Bruce McCormack, Carol McCormack, Angela Lockerby, Judy Newcombe and Marilyn.

He is survived by: his children, Carl (Lorna), Corner and Christine Handrahan (Jimmy); his stepgranddaughter Leann Handrahan (Brandon Worth); his siblings, Ron (Joyce), Orwell Corner, Charlene Williams (Brian), Leslie, Halifax and Donald (Pam); and his siblings-in-law, June Cormier, Margaret Bowness (Mark), George Sherry (April), Thomas Sherry (Nancy), Rita Clow (Joe), Michael Sherry (Sue), Gerard Sherry (Stacy) and Paul Sherry (Darlene). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.

In memory of Jackie, memorial donations may be made to St. James Anglican Church Cemetery, Port Hill or St. Mary's Anglican Church, Summerside.
