He was predeceased by: his brother Jimmy. He is survived by: his spouse Edith Smith; his children, Kevin (Carla), Kathy Brown (Chris) and Kendra Morrison (Andrew); his grandchildren, Keisha, Ethan, Kaylyn, Emma, Kayden, Kaleb, Cassidy, Kennedy and Ryan; his great grandchild Mason; and his siblings, Blair, Judy Cole (Norman), Wilfred (Lorraine) and Gordon (Chrissy).

Memorial donations in Sonny's memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
