She was predeceased by: her husband Bob Sharkey; her daughter Beverly Montgomery; her parents, Edward Poirier and Alice Poirier (Downing); her siblings, Peter Poirier and Mae O'Brien (Ernie); and her brother-in-law Gerry.

She is survived by: her children, Norine Sharkey (Rob Broderick), Dawn Moase (David), Edward (Kelley), Mary Ellen Gallant (Kevin), Blair (Judy), Dean (Rena) and Diane Sharkey; her great grandchildren, Tyler, Hailey, Olivia, Hannah and Isaac; her brothers, Bob Poirier (Pauline), John Poirier (Louise) and Mark Poirier; her son-in-law Billy Montgomery; and her sister-in-law Ann Poirier. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
