She was predeceased by: her husband Harold MacSwain; her parents, Lloyd Butler and Annie Butler (Clow); her siblings, Eric Butler, Cameron Butler, Julian Butler, Cyril Butler and Joyce Hume; and her brother-in-law Preston Hume.

She is survived by: her son Lynn MacSwain (Darlene); her grandchildren, Khrista Higginbotham (Scott Mellish) and Kathy Hawkins (Boyd); her great grandchildren, Hannah Higginbotham (Chad Diamond), Hope Higginbotham (Colton Morris), Kayda Hawkins and Kenzy Hawkins; her great great grandchild Emmy Lynn Hope; her siblings, Ronnie Butler (Marg), Kenny Butler (Janice) and Gloria Leeco (Glen); and her siblings-in-law, Carol Butler and Chester MacSwain.
