He was predeceased by: his parents, Maude Dunn and Ralph Dunn; his wife Edna Dunn; his daughters, Brenda Laybolt and Belinda Laybolt; his great grandchild Tessa Murphy; and his brothers-in-law, Junior Rose and Ronnie Doyle.

He is survived by: his children, Jason Dunn (Sherry MacDonald), Sherri Dunn (Shawn MacIntyre) and Derrick Dunn; his sisters, Jean Rose and Pauline Doyle; and his grandchildren, Christina Dunn, Gracie Dunn, Zackary Pirch, Brendan MacIntyre, Chase Laybolt, Hunter Laybolt, Kyle Murphy, Brett Murphy and Nathan Eldershaw.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joesph Ralph (Dewey) Dunn's memory to St. Andrew's Roman Catholic, Church or the Palliative Care Centre.
