He was predeceased by: his significant other Annie Rausch; his parents, Albert Payne and Winnie Payne; and his siblings, Harold, Reg, Bert (Polly) and Mina.
He is survived by: his children, Lorraine Park (Alvin) of Newfoudland, Terry (Christine) of Newfoudland and Paula Payne of Newfoudland; and his sister Ruby Stone. He is also survived by eight loving grandchildren.
