He was predeceased by: his sister Patricia Walton; and his brother-in-law Rick Rath. He is survived by: his stepchildren, Esther Bilodeau (Luc Lapointe), Michelle Filion-Chappell (Anson Chappell) and Andrea Filion (Phillip Parke); his stepgrandchildren, Cassandre Lapointe and Vivianne Lapointe; his siblings, John Robert Rath and Catherine Rath; and his brother-in-law Jim Walton. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
