Laverne was predeceased by: parents, Albert Harris and Mary Harris; siblings, June Harris, Susan Dillon (Joe), Bert Harris, Tom Harris and Marion Fischer (Doug); and brother-in-law Rod Furness.

Laverne is survived by: siblings, Bob Harris (Willa) of Teeswater, Ray Harris (Connie) and Jean Furness of Brussels; and close friends, John and Bev Visser. Laverne is also survived by several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews.
