He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Priscilla; his children, Phyllis Doherty of Thornhill, Eileen Baron (Glenn) of Markham, Susan Bertrand (Marc) of Neebing, Thunder Bay and Kevin Doherty (Andrea) of Antigonish; his grandchildren, Matthew (Michelle), Christina (Bill), Jennifer (Mike) and Stephanie (Scott); his great grandchildren, Mila and Hudson; and his siblings, Russell Doherty of Knowlton, Elda Hackwell (Ted) of Pointe Claire and Geoffrey Doherty (Thelma) of Smith Falls, Ontario..
