Demetre Panayotou Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Demetre Panayotou (Toronto, Ontario), who passed away on December 8, 2024 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Demetre may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.

He was predeceased by: his parents, George and Aristoula. He is survived by: his nephew George; his brother Stefanos; his son Phoebos; his wife Despina; his children, Aristea and George; his pet Blanco; and also Eleni.

Visitation was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church (30 Thorncliffe Park Dr., Toronto, ON M4H1H8). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Pine Hills Cemetery (625 Birchmount Rd, Scarborough, ON M1K1R1).
