Joanie Elizabeth Wekner Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joanie Elizabeth Wekner (Thunder Bay, Ontario), who passed away on November 2, 2018, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her children, Sean and Nicole; her father William Gehl; her stepfather Kal Nikkila; her mother-in-law Helen Wekner; and her grandparents, Louis Ivanek and Cecelia Ivanek.

She is survived by: her husband Bradley; her daughter Stephanie; her mother Millie Gehl-Nikkila; her siblings, Janice Rizzo (Dominic) and Jim Gehl (Carole); her nieces and nephews, Jim (Jenna), Jaime and Michael; her father-in-law Alvin Wekner; and her aunts, Angie and Betty.
