He was predeceased by: his parents, Percy and Alice; his uncle Tom; and his brother-in-law Art. He is survived by: his wife Esther; his daughters, Andrea, Adrienne and Heather (Greg); his grandsons, R. J., Chris and Aiden; his siblings, Patricia, Francine (Paul), Cathy (Bob) and Michael (Janina); and his pet Lupe.

In expression of sympathy, if friends so wish, the family is requesting donations for St Joseph's Hospice Unit Thunder Bay, in lieu of flowers.
