Aini Esther Jalava Obituary

We are sad to announce that on September 26, 2018, at the age of 90, Aini Esther Jalava (Thunder Bay, Ontario), born in Shaunavon, Saskatchewan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Lauri; her children, David, Edward, Walter, Laura Wigmore and Evelyn Rissanen; and her daughter-in-law Lorraine Jalava.

She is survived by: her parents, Onni Ahtila and Hilja Ahtila; her children, Margaret Lapierre, Violet Hintikka (Sven), Shirley Kaukinen (Dennis), Mamie Mado (Donnie), Martha Thompson (Kevin), Joyce Lyytinen (Dwight Listmayer), Susan Peterson (Pete) and Peter Jalava; and her sons-in-law, Fred Wigmore and Arnold Rissanen.

If friends so desire, donations may be made in Aini's memory to the Alzheimer Society or Christ Lutheran Church.
