He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Van Sickle and Beatrice Van Sickle; and his brother Terry Van Sickle. He is survived by: his spouse Sonyia; his children, Sherry Carpenter, Debbie Van Sickle, Darrell Van Sickle (Sue), Diana Stone (Ken) and Shelley McLoughlin; and his stepchildren, Robert Armstrong, Laurie Cameron, Ron Armstrong, Dina Phoenix and Cheri Shaefer (Mark). He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Palliative Care Program at Parkwood Institute.
