He was predeceased by: his parents, Ann Kirkpatrick Howe and William Howe; his brother Leslie; his brothers-in-law, Robert Charter and Doug Marshall; and his nephew David Marshall.

He is survived by: his former wife Evelyn May Smyth; his daughters, Joanne Howe of Teeswater and Sandra J. Howe (Dennis Stier) of Southampton; his grandchildren, Raymon, Patrick Johnstone, Simon, Connor (Pegah Vaezi) and Maia Turland; his sisters, Donelda Charter and Betty Marshall; and his sister-in-law Velda Howe (Evelyn Howe). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, shirttail cousins, and friends.

Donations to the Bruce Trail Conservancy (brucetrail.org) would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
