He was predeceased by: his close friend Linda Purcer; his father Wilbert Atkinson; and his brother Larry Atkinson. He is survived by: his significant other Shirley Bartlett; his mother Loretta Atkinson; his brother Murry Atkinson (Cindy); his daughter Valerie Atkinson (Mike); his grandchildren, Devin and Jessica; his nephew Jason; and his niece Darcy. He is also survived by his nine stepchildren and many extended grandchildren, great grandchildren nieces and nephews.
