He was predeceased by: his siblings, Dorothy Harrison (late Bert), John (late Mary), Neil (Aura-Lee), Bill (Jean), June Gutcher (late Cliff) and Wanda Chikoski (Walter); and his parents, John Rose and Irene Rose.

He is survived by: his spouse Betty; his children, Douglas (Jean), Murray (Cheryl) of Granger, Indiana and Robert (Frances); his grandchildren, Michael, Holly (Jeff), Graham (Amy), Joellen (Ben), Charles (Alex), Kathryn (Tyler), Melanie (Matt) and Thomas (Whitney); his siblings, Roma Barber (late George), Howard (Harriett), Joan Kennis Margaret Rayner (late Bob) and Raymond Thorne (Beverly); and his sisters-in-law, Beth, Eleanor and Mildred. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
