He was predeceased by: his children, Pat Kaye (John) and Mervyn Rehel Jr. (Eva); his parents, Victor Rehel and Amelia Rehel; and his siblings, Georgina St. Louis (late CJ), Clarence (Frances) and Lawrence.

He is survived by: his wife Alice; his daughters, Pam Suffel (Doug) and Janet Hotchkiss; his siblings, Geraldine Sproule (Ray) and Victor (Kathy); and his grandchildren, Jennifer, Heather, Steven, Allison, Sharon and Shawna. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
