He was predeceased by: his child Carol Parniak; his parents, Bill LaForge and Lorna LaForge; his parent-in-law Arthur Davieaux; his siblings, Marvin LaForge and John LaForge (Elna); and his siblings-in-law, Lillian and Rose.

He is survived by: his significant other Donna LaForge; his children, Ellen LaForge, Melissa LaForge, Danny LaForge (Barbara) and Janice LaForge (late Joseph Martone); his grandchildren, Sara Lay (Ron), Paavo Pollari (Nicole), Jacob Pollari (Rachel), Jason Gilbert (Candice), Tyler Warner-Smith, Jacob Gilbert, Kaitland LaForge, Tyson Warner-Smith, Mikaela LaForge, Kylee Vachon and Chrissee Haner; his parent-in-law Viola Davieaux; his siblings-in-law, Lavina, Floyd, Catherine, Delores, Ivy and Fay; and his close friends, Paul Daoust (Lorna) and John Williams (Jess).

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Sault Area Hospital Cancer Care Fund.
