He was predeceased by: his child Jim Foley; his parents, Gordon Hicks and Ellen Hicks; and his siblings, Ken Hicks (Joan), Judy Hicks and Norma Irvine (late Jim).

He is survived by: his spouse Marcella; his children, Scott Foley (Sarah Pritchard), Paula Laffin (Shan) and Terri MacMillan (Marty); his grandchildren, Erikah, Kevin, Kahli, Travis and Jessica; and his sibling Bill Hicks (Gail).
