He was predeceased by: his parents, Joyce Boissoneau and William Boissoneau; his siblings, Diana (Allan) and Danny (Doreen); and his father-in-law John.

He is survived by: his significant other Joanne; his children, Taylor (Lauren), Diedre (Dave), Derrick Jr. (Nora) and Vanessa (Reed); his siblings, Donna (Tom), Denise (John), Darlene (Mike), Danielle (Blair), Donald (Michelle), Dina (Paul) and Derinda (Tom); his father-in-law Fernand Skouris; his siblings-in-law, Susan (Dan), Lauri-Ann (Mike), Cathy (Brian) and Melinda; and his close friends, Robert (Bubba), Vic Braxton, Darren, Terry, Yvette and Chloe.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the SAH Critical Care Fund.
